Description
When you heat glass to a high temperature, it melts. This is glass fusing. The glass becomes smooth and very beautiful, ideal for unique jewellery. Every piece is truly a one-off… I never know how the glass is going to react in the kiln. The only constant is that glass will always try to fuse to a 6mm depth; perfect for a pendant. You might get bubbles, unusual colour combinations or interesting shapes.
After fusing, I securely attach either a stainless steel chain or a cord. If you want to add your own chain or different coloured cord, it’s easy to do.
This pendant is a forest green transparent glass with a unique copper swirl inside (and a bonus bubble). It’s approx 3 x 2 cm.
These fused glass pendants feel amazing against the skin, matching your body temperature. Although they are glass, they are surprisingly resilient; glass withstands high temperatures and water with ease. Be careful if you drop your pendant on a hard surface though – it is glass after all. Some are tiny, around 1.5 cm, but they can be up to 5 cm at their widest. Even the larger ones are light and very easy to wear.
These glass pendants make great gifts. With a range of colours and interesting details, each one is unique. Why not add a stained glass feather or stained glass heart for a very special gift.
