Own an exhibition piece!

It was so clear in a dream. I woke up, sketched the shape and the colours and made it. The only thing that wasn’t clear was that it was going to be a prawn. That happened when I added those luscious nuggets and shapes that became the tail.

The big prawn is made of beautiful blues, teals and clears with some fantastic textured glass. Look closely and you’ll see some of the glass nuggets have been gilded and have you spotted the shell? This is definitely a one-off. It was displayed at the Scottish Glass Society’s Balance and Harmony Exhibition at Trades Hall, Glasgow in September 2024.

It’s 31 x 35 cm and made to sit on a window sill or table – no need to find somewhere to hang it!
